Welcome to the Organic and Bio-Dynamic Alliance (or OBDA for short). The Alliance was created out of a desire by the Organic and Bio-Dynamic fraternity in South Australia to bring consumers who share our passion, closer to the food they deserve and demand. Consumers who want to know how their food is grown or produced can now meet the farmer direct!

Field Day - Certified Organic Farm.                                                

On March 25 Senator Nick Xenophon opened the latest OBDA featured event, a comprehensive tour of a certified organic strawberry and vegetable farm at  Gumeracha.

Dr Valeria Paul Carril - 6000 years of farming in Barcelona.

Spanish researcher Dr Valeria Carril spoke recently at the University of Adelaide about the “Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park” which surrounds the city of Barcelona. It is an area of prime agricultural land where 80% of it is managed organically and has been set aside from urban development to provide a sustainable food production area for Barcelona. There are many parallels with the challenges we face from urban pressures on our prime agricultural farmland. We are hoping to bring him back to Adelaide in the New Year to spend time with OBDA members to share his thoughts….
